Moving

Today is the big moving day... well it's more like moving "night" actually.

We're picking up the van between 4 and 6pm, my dad and Neal will be blocking parking space for the van and then the mayhem begins :-)

All our stuff has to get into the van (except for the furniture we sold) and moved to our parents place about 100kms away. Only 2m³ is coming with us to Montréal. Tomorrow morning we will be filling our wooden export crates with guitars, books, recording studio, cartoons, waffle maker and other personal items. Then we will deliver these crates to our shipping company
Eculine (very very nice people by the way) in the Antwerp harbour and drive the van back to Leuven.

And then drive back to the Wildert where we will be having dinner with my favourite uncle and aunt (Nonkel Lu & Tante Rit).

FYI: Montréal has an official "
Moving Day". It's July 1.

4 weeks

Heja ....

... and welcome to my brand new blog.

You will find all our Canadian failures and adventures at this virtual address.

On 2nd of September 2006 we (that's me and my girlfriend) are leaving to Montréal. She will be doing her PHD on criminology and victimology at UDEM (Université de Montréal). And I, well I am lucky to come along :-).

We already got a flat in Montréal. For the first 4 months we will be living at 5977A, avenue du Parc, Montréal, Québec H2V 4H4, Canada. Hopefully, I will be able to find a job during those first 4 months. The Canadian Embassy granted me a workpermit, so that's one thing less to worry about.

I'm finishing my last week at the office and then there's only packing and partying left. We sold most of our furniture and hopefully tonight I can say we've sold our car as well. Keep my fingers crossed.

That's it for now, I'll keep you guys/girlz posted!
